PYQ and Practice Bank Index

Navigation hub that links the durable previous-year-question framework, every authored practice set, and the full test series, with the strict honesty line between a real PYQ and an authored drill

This page links the assessment layer of the CAPF (Assistant Commandants) wiki: the durable previous-year-question (PYQ) framework, the authored practice sets in _pyq/, and the full test series in test-series/. It is navigation only; the build discipline is in PIPELINE pyq bank and how mock tests are built, and the governing module pipeline is 00 pipeline.

One rule governs everything linked here, per sources and honesty policy: a reader must always be able to tell a real previous-year question from an authored drill, and a current fact from a to-be-verified one. The vault never invents a question and presents it as a real CAPF PYQ. Every set below carries the caution: "Authored practice, not a verbatim PYQ. Re-verify any year-sensitive fact against the live source." The verbatim PYQ corpus is intentionally empty until faithful, dated UPSC papers are sourced; the page-per-question convention in PIPELINE pyq bank exists so ingestion is straightforward when they are.

The durable framework

How the real papers ask, without reproducing them. The honest, durable description of format, subject split and difficulty band.

  • 00 pipeline, the governing PYQ module pipeline and verification steps.
  • 01 paper 1 pattern and analysis, the Paper I pattern: the six sub-areas, the formats (single-correct, multi-statement, matching, assertion-reason), the difficulty band, and the working weights.
  • 02 paper 2 pattern and analysis, the Paper II pattern: the essay (Part A) and comprehension, precis and communication skills (Part B).

Authored practice sets, Paper I

Each set drills one subject against note-owned facts, with a consolidated answer key and an explanation edge to the owner. Listed by subject.

Mixed-subject practice sets (one page per subject):

Authored practice sets, Paper II

The descriptive drills: essays, comprehension, precis and counter-arguments, each with a model answer or rubric.

The test series (full mocks and mini-tests)

Practice under exam conditions, with scoring and triage. Plan: Index; method: strategy and negative marking.

The triage loop

The intended path: learn from the owner notes and deep notes, drill with these sets and the mocks, then route every miss back to the owner note via the explanation edge, and sweep the revision sheets in the final week (see PIPELINE revision modules). A missed question is a coverage signal as much as a knowledge gap; if the underlying fact is not owned, the note is written first (see how notes are built).

  • master index (the catalogue of the whole vault)
