A reusable template for a structured monthly current-affairs digest for CAPF, mirroring the daily-brief categories and the durable-versus-dated discipline, ready to consolidate into a year-in-review
A monthly brief is the mid-level digest between the daily briefs and the year-in-review: at the end of each month, you consolidate the month's developments into one structured page, capturing only the durable spine of each item and flagging every dated value. Twelve monthly briefs make the year in review almost automatic. This note is the reusable template plus an example entry. It mirrors the daily template at current affairs daily so the categories line up. Copy the template block below for each month; do not fabricate dated headlines, log real developments when you compile a real brief.

# Monthly Brief, {{month-year}}
> CAPF lens: prioritise security, border, defence, polity, economy, schemes, appointments, indices, sports and awards. Skip ephemeral political noise. Capture the durable fact and flag every dated value.

This shows the discipline; it uses durable structural facts, not a real dated headline.
The lesson the example teaches: log the publisher and the measure (durable), and mark the rank for late verification (dated). When you write a real brief, replace the illustrative item with the month's actual development and keep the same structure.
